Alex tries to put up the image of a man strongly believing in the creed proposed by God's Militia, but he just can't take it seriously. The only reason he bothers is because the fanatics kidnapped his brother, Luis, a few months back and he sees passing the Gauntlet and getting inside as his only chance at freeing his sibling.
