It's the Hispanic Heritage Month at FANDOM! It's worth noting that Wasteland, 33 years ago, was one of the first games to allow players to create Hispanic characters with the nationality selection. What's more, the starting Hispanic character, Snake Vargas, eventually became one of the most important movers and shakers of the Arizona wasteland, saving the world twice over as a Desert Ranger! Coded Transmissions is a quest in Wasteland 3.

Background[]

Gonzalez picked up a strange signal originating in the mountains. Its source and purpose are unclear. We should check it out. The transmissions are coming from somewhere in the mountains. It could be nothing, but any secret messages sent across Colorado could be a sign of danger.

Walkthrough[]

  • This is a straightforward quest that requires you to find Dos-Teh-Seh in the final chamber of the Department of Energy Site. Fighting her is a major confrontation, and there's no way around the fight with a Scorpitron, three octotrons, two fusion turrets, and a discobot at her disposal. After wiping her out all that's left is reaching the rear room and ripping the guts out of the transmitter to shut it down.

The signals were being sent out by one of Cochise's survivinging synths. It's using a transmitter in the facility to attract more synths and robots to carry on Coshise's mission.
Now that the transmitter is disabled, we should call Gonzalez with a status report by returning to the Kodiak.
