Combat initiative is a derived statistic in Wasteland 2.

Combat initiative determines turn sequence and frequency. The higher the initiative, the earlier will the character have their first action and the more frequently their actions will happen. Initiative is primarily governed by Awareness (every point translates into one point of combat initiative) and then by Speed (every even point gives one point of combat initiative).

The value is determined according to the following formula:

Combat Initiative = 5 + (Awareness) + ((Speed)/2)

All divisions are rounded down.
