Critical Chance determines how likely a Ranger is to inflict increased damage in combat.

Overview

How it works

If a critical hit is rolled, the damage is determined primarily by the weapon critical damage modifier. I.e. if a critical hit is rolled and the weapon has a 1.4x damage modifier, then whatever raw damage was rolled, it is increased by a factor of 1.4.

For melee weapons and brawling, the game will also factor in the Bonus Melee Crit. Mult., which adds additional damage based on the Ranger's Strength attribute. I.e., on top of the standard critical hit multiplier, the weapon also deals damage based on the melee crit multiplier.
