A seedy looking man, Diz heads the Astor cartel, focusing on weapons trade, repair, and manufacture. He's trapped in a loveless marriage with B.L. Astor, whom he "affectionately" calls a floozy and hates with a passion. He is otherwise a capable tradesman and is fond of Peter Bilk, a widower specializing in apparel trade, and his father, Gramps Astor. Since his mother's disappearance, Diz has kept his father busy helping out with the weapons trade, keeping his talented hands employed and his mind off the missing wife.
