Elite auto 'Fireball' rifle is a craftable assault rifle in Wasteland 3: Battle of Steeltown.

This weapon has no critical strike associated with it, so strike rate is irrelevant.

With Plasma linkage Icon Mod PlasmaLinkage or HE fuse linkage Icon Mod HEFuseLinkage, the area target allows you to shred through enemy cover from range with ease.

Despite preinstalled Fire damage, it is possible to convert this weapon to other damage types (Cold, Energy or Explosive) by using the appropriate damage type conversion mods. This won't add a second damage type but replace the originally installed Fire damage.

Damage can be increased from various bonuses. Also Fire damage provide +99 Armor penetration, which negates target's armor completely.

Fire damage maximization example

Applying all bonuses (+16 Damage +60% Ranged damage +125% Fire damage) leads to the following result:

  • 169 - 194 x3 (507 - 582) damage in weapon stats.

In fact damage will vary depending on a target:

  • 219 - 252 x3 (657 - 756) damage against organic targets (+30% Damage).
  • 118 - 135 x3 (354 - 405) damage against mechanic targets (-30% Damage).
Cold damage maximization example

Applying all bonuses (+8 Damage +83% Ranged damage +60% Cold damage) leads to the following result:

  • 114 - 134 x3 (342 - 402) damage in weapon stats.

In fact damage will vary depending on a target:

  • 148 - 174 x3 (444 - 522) damage against organic targets (+30% Damage).
  • 79 - 93 x3 (237 - 279) damage against mechanic targets (-30% Damage).
Energy damage maximization example

Applying all bonuses (+8 Damage +83% Ranged damage +65% Energy damage) leads to the following result:

  • 117 - 138 x3 (351 - 414) damage in weapon stats.

In fact damage will vary depending on a target:

  • 152 - 179 x3 (456 - 537) damage against mechanic targets (+30% Damage).
  • 81 - 96 x3 (243 - 288) damage against organic targets (-30% Damage).
Explosive damage maximization example
Applying all bonuses (+8 Damage +50% Ranged damage +95% Explosive damage) leads to the following result:
  • 114 - 134 x3 (342 - 402) damage against all types of targets.
