Beliefs and Description[ | ]

The Great Joke is the religion of the Los Payasos, they believe that a man named El Payaso Rojo made the Great Joke. The Great Joke holds that the end of the world was just a big grand joke and the people left behind are just the punch line. Like the Breathers, the Payasos seem to hold drugs as a religiously required thing, but unlike the Breathers however, it's not one drug that needs to be constantly inhaled but multiple drugs that they regularly use.

The Great Joke has multiple religious sites, and they seem to practice Transformative Vandalism when making these structures. One of their temples in the Warrens under the Bizarre shows that they pray to a vandalized Jesus statue that now looks like a clown, dubbed "Clown Jesus" .

They are constantly making statues out of circus and play objects and they can be found all over the everywhere they go. One of their most sacred Temples is a circus tent. They appear to practice prayer, but their main way of practicing their faith is making jokes... every Payaso you can talk to makes at least one joke.
