It's the Hispanic Heritage Month at FANDOM! It's worth noting that Wasteland, 33 years ago, was one of the first games to allow players to create Hispanic characters with the nationality selection. What's more, the starting Hispanic character, Snake Vargas, eventually became one of the most important movers and shakers of the Arizona wasteland, saving the world twice over as a Desert Ranger! Gather curiosities for the Rangers' museum is a quest in Wasteland 2.

Flintlock Eggleston is in charge of the Museum at the Ranger Citadel and is constantly on the lookout for curiosities for the museum.

  • Simple enough: Deliver at least one curiosity:
Name Location Flintlock's reaction Additional rewards
Ace's Ranger star Radio tower: On the bush near the entrance. It'll help remind us of the sacrifices the Desert Rangers sometimes have to make to keep the wasteland safe. Thank you, Rangers.
Miniature leg lamp Highpool: Found in a dead-end tunnel behind the RSM outpost in the underground Thank you, Rangers! You've certainly got an eye for the archaeologically interesting! And fashionable! In fact, I think you deserve a little something extra for this find. How about I let you take the Red Ryder rifle out on loan. I've got a handful of BBs, but I'm not sure if you'll be able to find more. Just try to keep it clean and make sure to point it away from your face. Red Ryder BB Gun + 200 BB ammo
Wasteland disk Darwin village: On the computer in the lower level of the lab, inside the room with the cure for cancer. Use Computer Science. Wonderful! I'll dig up a functioning computer to boot it up. Perhaps Captain Mercaptain will help me. Here is what I promised you. Check back with me later. We might learn something interesting! Harry the Bunny Master's Axe Agricultural center: Buried inside Harry's grave in west fields. Obviously, this is only accessible if the Rangers save ag center. Harry the Bunny Master? He was a mean old motherfucker, if you'll pardon my French. Can't believe you found his axe. Dr. Tidemann's bandaged many a wound from that blade. I'd love to keep it in the museum if you'd donate it.

Well, before Matt Forrestal got the place cleaned up, Harry ran Ag Center pretty much all by himself. He had a whole bunch of killer rabbits. He'd chase off any Ranger that got near the facility, so it wasn't 'til he died that someone got in there and saw all the advanced tech and experimental crops he'd been hiding. That man was definitely not right in the head. But, boy, was he strong.

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? Rail Nomads camp: Inside the train car next to Quarex's arcade Ooooh, would you look at that. I'd love to add it to our library. It's supposed to be one of the best books written about what it means to be human. Artificial humans, AI tests, mood altering gizmos - all before any of that was actually invented! This copy is in great condition, too. I know what I'll be reading when I get off duty tonight.
Painting Damonta: Inside the Silent Springs building. Hmmm, let's have a look at that... Oh, my. Oh. Oh, wow. Echo, do you know what you have here? It's an honest-to-goodness painting. Not a reproduction, but a real painting. I think under the top layer it's actual oil paint. And old. I've seen pictures of these in books, but I thought all of the real classics were destroyed when the nukes hit the major cities and took out most of the museums. It'll take me a while, but I'm going to do my damnedest to restore this.
AirMall catalog Silo 7: Inside a toaster next to the Sierra Madre plane. Oooooh, would you look at that?! I think this was a listing of items one could purchase while flying on a passenger airplane. When you landed, there were people whose job was to provide it to you. Truly an era of lavish luxury.
Double Six tragedy report Damonta: In a crate inside Tinker's hangar Very much so, thank you! These reports give us a pretty useful look into how governments and bureaucracies worked before the apocalypse. Might seem like boring reading, but I find it fascinating!

  • Scrap allotment or promotion merit for each contribution. Also possible to receive additional rewards.
