Increases your ability to spot, identify, and work with some basic metals.

In the mines near Quartz, a spot in the eastern side of the mine and a spot in the northwestern corner of the mine can be found where it says "the rocks look strange". Using Metallurgy in these spots reveals veins of silver. By giving a character with a high strength a pick ax, one can mine unlimited amounts of cash if one is patient enough to repetitively USE->CHAR->ITEM->PICK AX->LOCATION.
