Can attack diagonally.
The weapon alerts enemies (generates noise) in a 10 unit radius.
The most powerful blunt weapon in the game, the Plasma Hammer sure hits very hard. With its impressive basic damage and 9 Armor Penetration combined with the wielder's Blunt Weapons skill to build up the Critical Hit Chance, this monster will wreak havoc in melee combat no matter how well-armored the target is.
When compared to its Bladed Weapons counterpart, the Proton Axe 
, the Plasma Hammer does more damage per hit and has higher Armor Penetration, but is less likely to inflict critical hits and applies Concussion instead of Bleeding. Otherwise the two top-tier melee weapons are pretty much similar.
