|“||My uncle Gary made it up before he left town! Based it off stories he heard about you guys over the radio! Everybody takes on the role of a Desert Ranger, and together, they try to bring justice to the lawless wastelands of Arizona! Neat, huh!?||”|
Robots and Rangers is a tabletop pen and paper role-playing game created by "Uncle Gary" for a group of Colorado Springs teenagers. Basing on radio messages from Arizona, Gary wrote down a complete setting and set of rules for the teenagers. The scenario they are playing when the Rangers appear focuses on the Rail Nomads, and is just about the only chance across the three games for meaningful interactions with the impoverished Santa Fes.
Behind the scenes
- Uncle Gary is most likely a reference to Gary Gygax, creator of the Dungeons & Dragons franchise.
