For strength in Wasteland 3, see Strength (Wasteland 3).

Clarification[]

The Strength (ST) attribute defines the strength of a character in Wasteland, Wasteland 2, and Fountain of Dreams.

Wasteland[]

Description[]

The ability to overpower enemies or to lift, move, and break items. This is important in hand-to-hand combat and in physical tasks such as breaking down doors.
~ Wasteland manual

Tiedskills[]

Fountain of Dreams[]

in Fountain of Dreams, strength just increases melee weapon damage.

Wasteland 2[]

Strength is the pure brute power of a Ranger. This does not mean the Ranger is knowledgeable or skilled in applying that brute force, or particularly smart about when to apply it, just that the Ranger has a lot of force to apply.

Strength is a natural skill for combat-focused bruisers.

A Ranger with high strength is able to hit hard, carry more gear, and take more damage. Strength determines bonus critical melee damage, starting constitution, constitution gain per level, carry weight, and ability to wear heavy armor without extra penalty. Two weapons (the Proton Axe T icon W ProtonAxe and Truth T Icon W Truth) have strength requirements. The sum of Strength, Speed, and Intelligence affects the number of action points.
