The Gods Have Spoken is a quest in Wasteland 3.

Background[]

Cordite thinks there's no way to turn the fanatical Godfishers to his side, so the only option is convincing them to leave altogether. We should talk to some Godfishers or their slaves to get ideas on how to accomplish this.

Walkthrough[]

  • To start removing Godfishers from the Savage Council, you first need to talk to Not-Yet-Skinned, who will reveal that the best way to get them to move on is to leverage their faith against them. That means using Haloed Moon to convince Star-that-Dreams to move on. Talk to her in the compound and eventually she'll believe that you are the means to helping Star and the Godfishers achieve their destiny.
  • Haloed Moon has a plan to convince Star-that-Dreams to leave. You can fly her from a kite above a wrecked ice cream truck. She says that will be understood as a portent by the other Godfishers. She says not to mention anything to Star-that-dreams, but you can head there anyway and inform him that she's meeting a lover by the ice cream truck - that way you can get to choose between not one but two kite candidates.
  • Either way, you'll need a kite. Moon directs you to the heights to the north, near the pit where they dispose of surplus limbs of their victims. Head over there, fighting through drools and waste worms, and collect it.
  • Return to Moon. Depending on whether you informed Star or not, you'll skip straight to dismembering and flying her on the kite, or Star will appear, alone. At this point, you can kill Star in front of them and Moon will agree to take the Godfishers north to Alaska, but swear vengeance upon you and yours. Alternatively, you can use Kiss Ass 10 to warn the holy couple of Liberty and that she plans the Godfishers destruction. Star will oppose the plan, declaring that conquering Colorado will give them people for thousands of offerings, while Moon will ask him to reconsider - that bribing the gods in a cloudy, foul place like Colorado will only bring bad fortune upon them. Star will agree and the two will decide to take the Godfishers north.

Rewards[]

  • Godfishers leave Colorado.

Haloed Moon has a plan to convince Star-that-Dreams to leave. We'll fly her from a kite above a wrecked ice cream truck. She says that will be understood as a portent by the other Godfishers. She told us not to mention anything to Star-that-dreams, but we'll have to decide how to procede.
We need a prepped but unused Godfisher kite. Haloed Moon said we might find one near the bone pit, an unguarded area where the Godfishers throw the discarded limbs of their sacrificial victims.
We need a prepped but unused Godfisher kite from their shrine. Haloed Moon warned us not to attack any of the guards at the shrine or the Godfishers will know something is fishy. We should look for an unprotected area of the shrine.
We'll need the whole squad to vivisect and hoist Haloed Moon's body into the air. Once she's flying it's just a matter of time until she's spotted by a Godfisher and they come to investigate.

Star-that-Dreams proclaimed Haloed Moon's flight as an omen. Since the truck was labeled \"Alaska Surprise,\" the Godfishers are venturing north.

Now that we attacked the compound, there's no way to get rid of the Godfishers except killing them.
An open attack on the Godfisher kite shrine makes it impossible for us to trick them into leaving.
With Haloed Moon dead, we won't be able to complete her plan.
Now that we have the kite, Haloed Moon will tell us the rest of her plan.
We convinced Star-that-Dreams that Liberty does not have the sky-gods' interests at heart. He agreed to take the Godfishers elsewhere and leave us alone.
We couldn't bring ourselves to execute someone in cold blood. We'll have to deal with the full force of the Godfisher gang when we go after Liberty.
With Ironclad Cordite dead, a direct assault on Liberty's compound is the only option.
A former Godfisher told us that Star-that-Dreams' wife, Haloed Moon, doesn't like her cult's alliance with Liberty. Maybe she could help us convince her husband to leave.
We told Star-that-Dreams that Haloed Moon is having an affair. He's going to look for her at the ice cream truck, giving us a chance to ambush him on his own.
