The Psychopath is a quest in Wasteland 3.
Vic Buchanan, the Patriarch's son, recently reemerged from exile with an army of drugged-addled freaks at his back and has taken the mountain town of Aspen. The Patriarch wants him returned to Colorado Springs alive.
- Ah yes, the demo mission. This time it won't be as easy. You need to ensure that your Kodiak is equipped with a radiation-proof chassis to make it through the radiation belts surrounding Aspen. The area is located to the northeast from Colorado Springs, but you need to circle around the southern end of the mountains first.
- At Aspen you'll have to first reach Vic and complete Raising a Little Hell to gain access to the Patriarch's wing. Enter the wing and pass through the gas traps (one party member on the pressure plate, the other disables the generator). After fighting more Breathers, you will finally reach Victory in his personal chamber.
- If you pacify Victory, you can decide to arrest him or hire him as a companion. This will be amusing to you, less so to the people of Colorado.
- If you kill Vic
The Psychopath Travel to Aspen and arrest Vic Buchanan. Kill Vic Buchanan. Return to the Patriarch in his palace Colorado Springs. The Patriarch is dead. There is no way to complete this mission. You informed the Patriarch about his son's arrest. You informed the Patriarch about his son's recruitment. You informed the Partriarch about his son's death. Vic Buchanan, the Patriarch's son, recently reemerged from exile with an army of drugged-addled freaks at his back and has taken the mountain town of Aspen. The Patriarch wants him returned to Colorado Springs alive. Victory Buchanan, the Patriarch's eldest son, has invaded the town of Aspen. It sounds like anyone who was there when he arrived is dead or about to be. Vic wants us dead. Killing him is our only remaining option. Now that Vic is dealt with and Aspen is secured, we need to report back to the Patriarch in his palace. The Patriarch is dead. His children no longer matter. We informed the Patriarch that Vic is in holding in the Ranger HQ brig. He was satisfied with the outcome. We let the Patriarch know that Vic will be working with us as a Ranger from now on. We reported Vic's death to the Patriarch. He was not pleased. It's impossible to finish this mission now that we've gone rogue. We spoke via radio to a captured Ranger, Riley Woodson. He advised us that Vic working with a gang called The Breathers, and is holding some of Riley's squad capitive. According to Woodson, Vic is locked away in the Patriarch's wing of the ski lodge. Woodson thinks one of the Psychopath's cronies, a weirdo named Ash, has a key to get inside. We found Ash's control room, but he claims to have a \"kill switch\" that will kill all the hostages if we break inside. We should rescue the hostages before we try to bust inside. Ash can't threaten the hostages anymore. We should return to the security control room and force our way inside. We've acquired the key to the Patriarch's wing. Now we can go inside and confront Vic. Miriam Knox asked us to look for her husband, Hardee, who may be a hostage in Aspen. The Knoxes are part of the Hundred Families, and seem wealthy. If we save Hardee, we should talk to Miriam about the reward she promised. The Patriarch told us he's heard that Vic has some Rangers held hostage."
