Description

The actual, 'real' real Bloodstaff.

Characteristics

Damage can be increased from various bonuses. However, it is not recommended to waste high-tier mods on this weapon, due to low damage output. Especially not recommended to use rare and expensive damage type conversion mods.

Physical damage maximization example +8 Damage from Grand Slam Weights +33% Melee damage from Sadomasochist quirk at the cost of +33% Received damage +35% Melee damage from Strength attribute at level 10 +50% Melee damage from Exoskeleton armor set +25% Melee damage from Threat Intelligence helmet modification at the cost of -6 Armor Applying all bonuses (+8 Damage +143% Melee damage) leads to the following result: 218 - 262 damage in weapon stats. The damage dealt to targets will depend on the armor they are wearing and the armor penetration rate on your character.

Behind the scenes

Well, the fun part started in Wasteland, where Bloodstaff can be found. Description on it said "There is only one REAL Bloodstaff. The rest are just fakes". In Wasteland 2 story continues and The Fake Blood Staff can be found and then exchanged for The Blood Staff. Both Bloodstaff from Wasteland and Fake Blood Staff from Wasteland 2 don't have Bleeding or other blood related status effects, however The Blood Staff has 50% chance to inflict Bleeding Wound. Nice try! But this one applies Bleeding with every hit! So finally we found the truth! The Real Blood Staff is REAL!
