|“||You want to know why I named it the Wegman Aether Corrupter, Cadet Specialist? Corrupter, 'cause of what it does to things when it connects; hits 'em like a train! Aether 'cause it sounds cool, and will make you feel cooler while you're twisting this little lever, 'cause you should be twisting this lever whenever you've got a free moment, and when you don't have a free moment too, I suppose, 'cause it needs twisting the most after you have reloaded it. Well, I guess, that's when's when it needs it the second most, 'cause it needs it more after you fire it. Oh! And if the lever clicks three times, real quick, then pauses, then buzzes, drop the gun and run, okay? We can thank Wegman for that bit of info. Well, actually we can't anymore. He died in an unfortunate Wegman Aether Corrupter accident.||”|
|~ Ethil Mercaptain on the weapon's origins
An assault rifle customized by Ranger R&D Expert Captain Mercaptain, it looks like it was designed by Jules Verne. It has knobs and switches and dials all over it, and a barrel that appears to be made out of solid brass!
The weapon alerts enemies (generates noise) in a 30 unit radius.
It causes a bleeding effect that decreases one point of con every six seconds that has no time limit. In other words, it has to be cured by the surgery skill.
- Ranger Citadel: Received as a requisition for turning Depleted uranium in to Mercaptain. Depleted uranium is found in a toaster. The toaster is found in the far end of Temple of Titan Missile room.
